You know… since the day it was announced I was on board. I mean really, “THE SAME DAY”. I was the guy that all my friends got their Google+ invites from. I was so excited for the much needed “Facebook alternative”. Seriously, how many of you are getting burnt out on constant Facebook spammy posts from your friends?

Well after using Google+ for a few months I have to say that it has really been underwhelming. All of my computer nerd friends are there, but none of the people I communicate with. I pushed all of my family to sign up and none of us use it to communicate. So where is the “+”?

The “+” has been at Facebook. Ever since Google+ rolled out, Facebook has been working hard to implement the features I wanted in Google+. Facebook has added much better feed viewing and letting me filter out what I don’t want to see. 

The Timeline

They have also added a new “Time Line” feature that is only available to developers at the moment, but is kinda cool and scary all at the same time. Your profile becomes this timed event log of everything you’ve ever posted, pics, and more. All the way back to the day you were born. It’s so sad that Google+ has done nothing but drive me back to Facebook.

I’m sure I will change my mind in a month or so. After all I am such a huge Google fanboy. Once they role out some better feed viewing option and more features, maybe…
